Pakistan occupies the north- western side of the Indian sub- continent, sharing borders with India (East) China (North) Afghanistan (West) and Iran (South –West) although it came into existence in 1947 it lies in a region rich in history, cultural heritage and immensely varied topography.Through it flows the mighty Indus on the banks of which once flourished the Indus valley civilization (contemporary of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations.)

These mountain ranges contain some of the world’s highest peaks, K-2 (mount Godwin The second highest), Gasherbrum-1, Gasherbrum-2, Broad Peak and Nanga Parbat (all above 8000 meters) and some of world’s biggest glaciers, Beifo, Batura and Ghondoghrla.
The region offers the traveler incredible scenic beauty, unique eco-systems, communities, like the Kafirs of Chitral, Languages, like Brushaski (spoken nearly all over the region), which is not related to any living language of the world.
